Former NBA player and now General manager for NBA Washington Wizards G-League side Capital City Gogo, Pops Mensah Bonsu has arrived in Ghana to mark the “Year of Return”.
He’s not the only one visiting, American Television star, Steve Harvey and his family have being in the country for the past two days to mark the “Year of Return” as well.
As part of Pops Mensah-Bonsu’s visit, he will be conducting a free Basketball Camp for young people between the ages of 12-18.
The camp is set to place at the ICGC Basketball Court (Abossey Okai) in Accra, Ghana from the 18-19th August at the following times:
Sunday 18th Aug – 1:30pm – 5pm
Monday 19th Aug – 9am – 4:30pm
The “Year of Return, Ghana 2019” is a major landmark spiritual and birth-right journey inviting the Global African family, home and abroad, to mark 400 years of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in Jamestown, Virginia.
