#YearofReturn: Danny Glover arrives in Ghana with group from NAACP

Hollywood actor, film director, and political activist, Danny Glover has landed in Ghana to participate in the “Jamestown to Jamestown” event to commemorate Ghana’s Year of Return.

Danny Glover is not visiting alone, he’s here with a large group from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to commemorate 400 years since the first ship of enslaved Africans arrived in Virginia.

The actor and the NAACP group were welcomed at the Kotoka International Airport by the Year Of Return committee.

Founded 1909, the NAACP is the America’s first and largest grassroots–based civil rights organization with over 2,000 volunteer-run branches nationwide.

Their schedule of activities is part of the Jamestown to Jamestown event that started with a ceremony in Virginia before they made it to Ghana.
