Jidenna calls H.E Akufo-Addo a revolutionary for granting voting rights to people from the diaspora

American musician, Jidenna, has called President Akufo-Addo’s initiative of granting people from the diaspora who come back to Ghana voting rights as “revolutionary”.

According to the “Classic Man” singer, this is the kind of news that deserves mass coverage by the Western world.

Jidenna made this statement whilst speaking about the “Year of Return” initiative on ‘The Breakfast Club’ show a couple of days ago.

“The president of Ghana just announced recently that if you are an African-American or Caribbean-American or from the Diaspora and you go back to Ghana and trace your roots even if you just live there, you’re going to be granted voting rights.

“That’s a big headline. It changes how you look at things. Say, we got another Trump and we already seen the game you can be like for the next four years, I’m out [to Ghana],” he said
