Creatives should be allowed to do what makes them comfortable- OV to critics

Burniton Music signee Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko popularly known as Okaliey Verse (OV) has stated that creatives should be allowed to express themselves and not face backlash about how they appear.

The “Want me” crooner, who has faced some backlash about her choice of dressing, is asking her critics to concentrate more on her music.

“I am an artist and we are creative people, I think that should be of importance rather than how I appear. The cowries in my hair are not from outside, they belong to us right here so I represent us, our culture and Africa. We should be allowed to do what will make us comfortable and when we are, it reflects in our delivery, as in the songs we churn out”, OV stated in a recent interview.

OV emerged winner of the 7th season of MTN Hitmaker. She has since been signed to Stonebwoy’s “Burton Music Group”.
