American-Nigerian rapper, Wale as has expressed interest in visiting Ghana.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, November 5th, the rapper, born Oluwale Victor Akintimehin wrote:
“Yo @WalesAgent I wanna go to Ghana … make it happen.”
His tweet generated a lot of reactions from fans across Ghana who were were already suggesting which artists he should work with when he comes.
The ‘Year of Return’ initiative by the government of Ghana seeks to urge Africans in the diaspora to come back home and mark exactly 400 years since the first black slaves landed in Jamestown Virginia in the U.S.
Several African-American celebrities including Steve Harvey, Boris Kodjoe and many others have taken a trip so far to Ghana.
