Elikem Kumordzie apologises to Kofi Adjorlolo over “day job” comments

Ghanaian actor Elikem Kumordzie has rendered an apology to veteran actor Kofi Adjorlolo for his comments about the latter’s outburst about movie producers.

During the week, a video of Mr Adjorlolo, alleging that there were about 7 movie producers that owe him went viral on social media.

Reacting to Mr Adjorlolo’s comments, Elikem Kumordzie who is a fashion designer as well, insinuated that actors in Ghana should get “day” jobs to cement their income from acting.

“I agree one hundred per cent that producers don’t pay … being in that position made me realize this other talent mine…this goes to all other actors, you can’t wanna do entertainment and not have a day job,” he said in a video he shared on Instagram.

Elikem’s comments did not sit down well with some actors in the industry as colleagues including Juliet Ibrahim and James Gardiner expressed their disappointment about his comments.

Elikem has since shared a video of him apologising to Kofi Adjorlolo on his Instagram page.

“I want to apologise to Kofi Ajorlolo, I respect him as a father, I sincerely apologise if it came across as if I was debunking his statement or going against what he said…”
